Stamford Royal Ark Mariner Lodge was formed, in 1947 when a number of members of Stamford Mark Lodge No. 148 (founded in 1872) petitioned Grand Mark Lodge to establish a Royal Ark Mariner Lodge to be moored to Stamford Mark Lodge.

This resulted in the Consecration of Stamford RAM No. 148 on 7th May 1948

at Altrincham Town Hall

on the second Monday of January, April and October (Installation)
